GODAN Executive Director Andre Laperriere presented to 1000 academics and officials at the Vietnam Digital Economy Forum. This year’s theme centred around ‘Challenges and Strategic Solutions in the Fourth Industrial Revolution’. Mr Laperriere's presentation focused on the Open Data Movement.
The Forum aimed to provide a platform for international idea exchange for various stakeholders coming from national policy-making bodies, academia, corporates and individuals. This was a great opportunity for them to share and discuss global and local visions, challenges and initiatives, practices and trends for fostering and sustainably developing SMEs. The forum had special sessions focusing on Vietnam’s digital economic perspectives with international and national keynote speakers, the Vietnam Government and the corporate world.
GODAN also took part in a bilateral meeting between Vietnam and international experts. Discussions included: the impact of digital technology on business strategies of SMEs, applying digital technology to improve the competitiveness of SMEs, and; digitised services in supporting SMEs.
The forum was organised by the Association of Vietnam Scientists and Experts (AVSE Global) and Quang Trung Software City, and sponsored by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee.
