GODAN is pleased to announced that in partnership with the Association for Technology and Structures in Agriculture (KTBL), the Secretariat is seeking applicants for a full-time Researcher position based in Darmstadt, Germany.
The applicant should have a strong background in legal sciences/law studies, information technology or social sciences. The post will examine questions of data ownership and responsible use of data in the context of open data and open access.
Analyse the current situation in different societal contexts: legal, social and ethical mechanisms;
privacy, copyright, ethical concerns, etc.
Manage a working group of international experts and organize workshops
Disseminate results, support the team to advocate for better policy and practice in this area
Participate in activities of the GODAN Secretariat: meetings and reporting
Applicant profile includes:
A Master’ Degree and/or PhD in law, information technology or social sciences
At least 5 years of relevant experience
Willingness and ability to travel internationally, roughly once a month for a few days at a time
A good command of English and German; knowledge of other languages is advantageous
An understanding of digital technologies and the acumen to demonstrate their impact on society
Start of employment as soon as possible, fixed-term contract until December 31st, 2020
Main workplace: Darmstadt, Germany
Salary according to the German TVöD Bund level E13
Fulltime position, 39 h/week; Working hours flexible according to individual requirements and in coordination with the team
Reimbursement of travel costs according to the German Bundesreisekostengesetz (BRKG)
