The STAR-IDAZ IRC (International Research Consortium on Animal Health) is a global network of 20 research funders and programme owners committed to coordinating and aligning their research programmes in order to contribute to new and improved animal disease control tools for at least 30 priority diseases/infections/issues. Deliverables include candidate vaccines, diagnostics, therapeutics, animal health products and procedures, and key scientific information/tools to support risk analysis and disease control. The IRC is supported by the EU-funded Secretariat for the International Research Consortium on Animal Health (SIRCAH) led by Defra and co-hosted by the OIE, CABI, BBSRC and IFAH-Europe.
