World Data Center for Geoinformatics and Sustainable Development

WDC-Ukraine is a NGO headquartered in Kyiv, Ukraine, focused on supporting in Ukraine the initiatives of the International Scientific Council (ISC) to conduct applied and fundamental research addressed global challenges. The main activities are: - development of the ISC World Data System project "World Data Center for Geoinformatics and Sustainable Development" in Ukraine for the formation and development of a common information space of Ukraine to ensure effective interaction of data providers and users and integration into the world information space; - organization and support of research and projects aimed at long-term stewardship of, and universal and equitable access to, quality-assured scientific data and data services, products, and information across a range of disciplines in the natural and social sciences, and the humanities; - development of mathematical models, methods and tools for assessment and decision-making in complex systems; - development and support of information systems and services focused on data analysis and processing; - research of sustainable development processes in the context of quality and safety of human life, development of new scientific approaches to assessing the current state and forecasting&foresighting the behavior of complex socio-economic systems of different levels; - promoting the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines for managing and providing guaranteed quality of scientific data according to internationally recognized standards;
